EARTH DAY
BALMORHEA ISD 
The Balmorhea Independent School District students and faculty participated in the 2017 Thundering Hooves Earth Day Celebration of the Horse event. The elementary students dressed as pollinators presenting the important role they play in the eco system. Middle school students drew posters with Earth Day themes and made Papier-mâché horses to represent how beneficial horses are to the environment. Junior and Senior students entered their literary Earth Day theme works with focus on how beneficial horses are to the environment.  The high school shop class welded together found objects creating unique Recycled Art Sculptures.  Every student was individually recognized for their beautiful art.
