In staying true to our mission of honoring horses, Thundering Hooves is proud to create Happy Places through the joy of horses for those in need of a smile .
Our first experience visiting a Pediatric Unit with our lil colt statue “Tornado” confirmed the joy horses bring. As we entered the hospital Pediatric Unit we could hear a baby crying in the first room. We knocked on the door and as it opened we could see the crying baby being held by his father. The minute the baby saw Tornado he smiled the sweetest smile and reached out wanting to touch Tornado. We gave him one of the stuffed horses and he cuddled it tight ...as he continued to smile. The little ones mother told us that was the first time her baby has smiled in a long time!
Was a beautiful thing witnessing how just the sight of a horse, real or otherwise, brings such joy turning the darkest of places into a Happy Place!
What better way to honor horses than to share in the joy they bring ...to those in need of a smile!
